Cleveland Tea Party

The Action List

The single largest failure of Americans today is thinking one person cannot make a difference, is not staying informed and not getting involved. The Tax Day Tea Party must serve as the first step in changing that!

What to Do?

Get involved in local issues. Your voice is most powerful at this level. Force your local elected officials to take a stand on issues – even if it is not a local issue. Urge your local elected officials to assist in contacting elected officials in higher offices. Do not take – “there is nothing we can do,” as an answer. Politicians are elected to represent you – not give excuses of what they can’t do. We must force them to do their job or force them out of a job. This must happen at all levels of government.

Join or Start a Grass Roots Group

There are 9/12 Meet Up groups (http://www.912project.com) starting up all over – join one! You will find other like-minded Americans in which you can discuss and debate current events and plans of actions. Be mindful, a majority of grass roots groups fall apart when there is no cause – this is the importance of being involved in local issues.

Education / Media

Often you are urged to contact your media about biased coverage. While good, it is like putting lipstick on a pig. Don’t fight them on their field, fight them on yours – get informed! Utilize the Internet for the ever-powerful tool that it is. Use the Internet to educate yourself with other sources of information. Use the Internet to inform yourself, your neighbors, family members, friends, etc.
